Privacy Policy
Zamanja is a WhatsApp-first labour marketplace for Malawi. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect information when people use our website, API, WhatsApp chatbot or related services.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Zamanja, we may collect your name, phone number, WhatsApp ID, language preference, messages sent to the chatbot, worker skills, district, area or town, availability, profile details, images you choose to upload and service request details.
How we use information
We use information to operate the service, respond to WhatsApp messages, manage worker registrations, match clients with relevant workers, improve safety and quality, provide support and comply with legal or platform requirements.
WhatsApp and Meta
When you contact Zamanja through WhatsApp, your interaction is also governed by WhatsApp and Meta terms and privacy practices. We use the official Meta WhatsApp Cloud API and do not use unofficial WhatsApp access methods.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information where needed to provide the service, for example connecting a client request with a suitable worker, operating hosting/database infrastructure, meeting legal duties or preventing misuse.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including HTTPS, environment-based secret management and restricted operational access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the service, support, audit, safety or legal purposes. Users may request deletion using the Data Deletion page.
Your choices
You may stop using the service at any time. You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal information by following the instructions on our Data Deletion page.
